Location
Switzerland is a small, multicultural country, which lies at the heart of Europe, sharing borders with Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein.
Topography
There are three main geographical regions: the Swiss Alps; the hilly Swiss Plateau (or Mittelland), which stretches from Lake Constance to Lake Geneva; and the Swiss Jura, a rugged, extended chain of fold mountains.
